I'll keep it clean and simple.
If it sound pretentious, it's through no fault of my own.
I'm a 22 years old, 3rd generation Palestinian (Qada' Al Ramleh), born and raised in Jordan.
At some point in time I had four options, film school, some sort of music degree or culinary school, or I shoot myself in the foot and do a STEM major, and of course that turned out well.
Within Data Science, I'd like to think I've achieved quite a bit, I have solid real world experience and my restless passion for knowledge fuels me to always work towards the next big thing.
Academia is not something I excel at so I hyperfixated and tethered myself within it, I'll stay till I achieve some sort of notion that proves me wrong about my worth within it, I enjoy teaching, regardless of scale, and have done it throughout multiple iterations at every level of education I had.
I'm also working on establishing some sort of early career in research and hopefully contribute on some massive scale to open sourcing AI.
Before Data Science, I was messing around with graphic design, then I moved on to photography, a stepping stone, and while I don't do it as much as I like, both remain a favorite pastime.
Cinema remains my white whale, I've made some strides in pursuit of it, ideally a directing credit, but I still have a long way to go.
Going broader, I did think I was a good writer at one point, my interests were in media criticism, film and serialized media specifically, I'm nowhere near the level I'd like to be, but it spiraled on to translation and from there, editing, which is something I slowly earned my way into and enjoy massively.
I enjoy music a lot (I know right, hot take), and an album with my name on it is another white whale, albeit smaller and less persistent (gray whale?). Think Deftones minus the mature songwriting.
I have cooked at some point, I take it very seriously and I do have a great deal of respect for chefs who are not horrible human beings, it remains another lost passion, but home cooks are a thing and I can always elevate any medium I'm involved in (notice the complete lack of delusions of grandeur).
Enough I statements. I think that's all.
